Well done to all three men's teams who played today and won. The 1's set the pace with a cracking 5-1 home win, whilst the 2's got a vital away win and are now one off the bottom of the League with one game still to play. The 3's finished their season last week, whilst the 4's finished their's with a narrow home win. The full results were:

1's won 5-1 v Marlow (H)
2's won 3-2 v Oxford 3's (A)
4's won 1-0 v Kenley (H)

congratulations all.

Today the 1's and 2's played their last games of the season, and unfortunately both lost. The 1's were at home, but didn't start well and in a somewhat messy /scrappy game they conceded a goal in each half. Despite creating numerous chances, the slightly depleted squad couldn't find their usual rhythm and sparkle. In addition, the visitors Keeper, an ex AHC player (whose name I can't remember) dealt well with our shots. Thanks are due to the Captains Sarah Hopkins, Stacey Arkwell and Jacqui Bashford for their efforts and hard work during the season, and of course ever present, hard working and dedicated coach Jackie Parsons. The improvement in play by all was easy to see in the second half of the season and brought the results the team deserved. The 2's once again battled bravely, especially skipper Elize Brown who was making her debut between the sticks, but they suffered another heavy defeat. I am sure next season will be different though and thanks to all who have played and the team spirit has been second to none. Thanks also for coming back after your game today and encouraging the 4's to a good win against the team third in the table. This week the 4's had a big squad and in the opening quarter when we went 1-0 down and Harrow were dominating play, it looked like a very tough game. However, we grabbed an equaliser before half time and were improving as the game wore on and ran out deserved winners. Sarah Taylor in particular has worked (and played) tirelessly every week and Saturday; ably assisted by Abby Cowell to ensure the 4's fielded a team as often as possible and had fun as well. We are going to miss you Sarah (and Sophie), sob, sob. Today's results were:

1's lost 0-2 v PHC Chiswick 2's (H)
2's lost 0-8 v West Hampstead 2's (A)
3's no game
4's won 3-2 v Harrow 3's (H)

Unfortunately Emily Bashford lost a silver neck-lace with a moon pendant and dangly star earring and a small diamante stud earring on the pitch this morning. Please can you keep an eye out around the home dugout and around if you are on the pitch tomorrow - thanks.

I know teams were taking team photos today, so if you have any, please forward them to me and we will put them on Facebook. The Ladies 1's are shown below.
