Men's & Ladies League results

The Men's section only had 1 League game today and it was a tough one away against Phoenix & Renelagh 1's. The Men's section are struggling for players as well as goalkeepers this season, and the weakened team lost 2-9. Please can we therefore ask all members to try and recruit new players of all ages and abilities and/or try and persuade people to come back and play or just give Hockey a go. We will try and give them a warm welcome, plenty of coaching and playing if we can.

On a more positive not, it was great to see AHC fielding 4 Ladies Middlesex League teams for the first time in nearly 8 years and also getting full squads (except for GK's!) for each side - WELL DONE ALL. We managed to get two wins and suffered two defeats, and the full results were:
1's lost to Hendon & Mill Hill 1's (Away), 1-2
2's beat Southgate 4's (Away) 2-1
3's beat Hendon & Mill Hill 2's (Home) 3-2
4's lost to Eastcote 5's (Home) 0-3

Next Saturday, we have 3 Ladies home games and 1 (4's) away and a 3 Men's league game, so as many players as possible needed again please.

Members should have received an electronic copy of the AHC READ & BLACK. preseason Newsletter, and please help with one of the many committee vacancies advertised if you can please. Fixture cards for the coming season have arrived and they include your AHC Membership card, which you will need to sign, and you should carry with you when visiting the Club. Wendy Baker will be distributing them to paid up members, probably via Team Captains, some time soon.
