4. Use Of Facilities - Members/Visiting Clubs


All persons using the facilities or premises of Ashford Hockey Club do so at their own risk. Ashford Hockey Club accepts no responsibility whatsoever for any damage, injury or loss of property.

Clothing

Users of the artificial pitch should wear conventional games clothing for their activity.

Footwear

Clean rubber boots e.g. astro boots, training shoes or similar footwear must be worn at all times. Hockey / Football Boots or any rubber / leather / metal studded or moulded footwear is NOT permitted.

Chewing Gum / Smoking

Users must NOT under any circumstances chew gum or smoke within the fenced area of the artificial playing or field area.

Car Parking

All cars / motor cycles / bicycles or other means of transport must be placed in the appropriate parking area and must NOT be taken to any part of the playing areas.

Dogs

Dogs are NOT permitted within the artificial playing area.

Food and Drink

Under no circumstances should any player or club member consume food or drink within the artificial playing area, other than approved refreshment for player’s consumption during a match. No containers must be left within the playing area by any player or team after a match. All containers and litter etc. must be placed in the litter bins provided.

Spectators

Spectators must view and remain outside the perimeter fence or within designated viewing areas.

Players

Players are NOT permitted to knock up or practise on the artificial pitch surrounds whilst the pitch is in use. Players are requested not to jump over the fence when a ball goes outside of the playing area.

Please use the gates provided

The quickest way to ruin an all weather surface is to tread mud into it. As some of the surrounds may be muddy, players must ensure that they clean their boots before walking onto the playing surface by using the brush facilities provided.

All Clubs and their Members must ensure that they are aware of the above Rules and Regulations.
