Two draws and two defeats might not sound great for the Ladies today, but a lot of good hockey was played and results achieved. The 1's had a tough early start away at Paddington Rec and in a good game the 1's were leading 1-0 at the break and the match eventually finished as a draw. The 1's had chances for more goals, but they were also saved twice when Club Captain Barbie made two excellent goal line clearances. The 2's had a tough away game and heavy defeat at Southgate, where a big crowd had gathered to watch the Southgate. The 3's were the only Ladies team playing at home and were absolute stars holding top of the Table team Ealing to a draw and very nearly beating them. The game had everything; exciting short corners, an Ealing penalty flick hitting the post, a green card for an Ealing player, some exciting short corners and AHC injuries. After 2 goals for Ealing 1's (played 19, won 18!) in the first 3 minutes, the 3's looked up against it. However, they kept at their game tight and every player put extra effort in and they got it back to 2-2 with 13 minutes left; only for Ealing to go 3-2 up and then the 3's getting an equaliser with 2 mins left. We even managed to convert a short corner with next to no time on the clock, only for it to be correctly disallowed. The Ealing manager Geoff Moores reckoned it was the best game they have had all season, so take a bow Ladies 3's squad. Thanks are also due to Paul Neyton and the Middlesex umpire who stayed on after he had officiated the men's 1's to umpire for us, and both kept the game flowing. The 4's had an early game in the sun at Harlington and went ahead early on, but were pegged back by Imperial Medics. Early in the second half 4's Player of the Match Ellie Watson got a nasty blow to her knee when running out at a short corner. Ellie was not able to continue and the 4's rearranged their defence and were unlucky to concede a further goal and suffer a narrow defeat. The full results were:

1's drew 2-2 v Hampstead & Westminster 4's (A)
2's lost 0-10 v Southgate 3's (A)
3's drew 3-3 v Ealing 1's (H)
4's lost 1-2 v Imperial Medics 1's (A)

The men secured two wins, the 1's and 4's a goal less home draw and a narrow away defeat:

1's won 2-0 v Witney 1's (H)
2's lost 0-1 v Marlow 3's (A)
3's drew 0-0 v Marlow 5's (H)
4's won 3-1 v Kenley (A)
