Hampstead & Westminster 4's

The ladies 1s were buzzing from the previous weeks win against top of the table, but knew it was going to be a tough game against Hampstead and Westminster 4s who we had lost to earlier in the season.
The game started in an unsurprisingly fast pace and we knew from the off it was going to be hard work. But after a 25 minute stale mate Ashford broke through from a cross from Nadia was converted by Emily. This lifted the Ashford spirits and within the next 10 minutes another goal was secured, almost a replica or the first! Going into half time 2-0 up gave the team a huge boost and the feeling that they could secure the 3 points, but we knew Hampstead and Westminster were going to come out fighting for the next 35 minutes. A hard fought second half with an outstanding display of defensive play saw the home team keep out any chances of the visitors scoring. Leaving the final score at 2-0 - a great result for AHC!
