AHC v Southgate 6
The two's started with 12 players, thanks again for those who made themselves available! The game started well with Southgate attacking hard and making the defence work hard. Our ladies defended well by making sure Southgate did not score from the 4 short corners they received. Half time the score was still 0-0. Second half we lost Jenny as she had to leave as she had a prior engagement she kindly helped the team by playing the first half. We came out fighting, had our chances but just couldn't put the ball in the back of the net.
Unfortunately decisions given led to a deflection and a goal to Southgate. The second goal came soon after that. Our attackers fought very hard and kept the ball in the oppositions half but a 0-2 loss was the final outcome. Proud of the way the team played.
Player of the match was Jade and well deserved too.
