Go 4 points clear at the top

A soggy Saturday afternoon saw the unbeaten Ashford 3's take to the field, reinforced by the returning Darren Cole and Freddie Cottrell.

The opponents were the Maidenhead Magicians, still yet to conjure up a win this season. Straight from the off Ashford went right at the opposition and Chris Taylor soon produced a bit of magic to turn in a shot from a Harry Parker short corner strike.

Buoyed by a good start Ashford went for an all out attack but were caught out by a Maidenhead counter to level the score. Ashford though were straight back on the attack with Chris completing his hat trick before half time. Hat trick number 2 for the season.

The 2nd half saw more pressure on Maidenhead with attacks being launched from all over the pitch. Soon Ashford were 4-1 up Chris Lunn adding to his name sake's tally.

Maidenhead were able to mount some semblance of an attack but the rock steady Red and Black defence saw that come to nothing.

Attacking service soon resumed with a nice bit of Shane Smith magic seeing the home team notching a 5th.

By now everyone was joining in the attack trying to get their names on the scoresheet and it was Dave Merchant who completed the rout with a rocket of a shot to see the Red and Black Army score 6 in a match for the 2nd time this season.

The result leaves Ashford 3's top of the table with a 4 point lead and with a huge smile on the teams face over the performance.

MOM - Chris Taylor for hat trick
DOD - Andrew Ritchie for conceding the only Maidenhead shot
