The new EH set up has highlighted that as a club we do not have enough umpires to cover all our home games, and therefore your club desperately needs your help!

If we can get sufficient numbers of new umpires, you’d only need to umpire 3 or so matches a season – hardly a big ask.

The minimum level required for most of our divisions is Level 1 Unassessed. This means all you have to do is sign up and complete the online course. The Level 1 courses are 2 hours long via Zoom, and are £30 per person. This means anyone can access the course. Once you have passed the online test and umpired a couple of practice games a friendly assessment will be arranged with one of our more experienced club umpires and then you will be Level 1 Assessed. Ideally, we need 4 Level 1 umpires per team.

Please don’t delay and do this quickly as courses are getting booked up very quickly as clubs realise they now have to have qualified umpires under the new regime or risk losing value league points.
