Excellent work from the Ashford BU18s lads to start off this season with aplomb. 7 nil away win is brilliant way to kick things off.
Several new faces - Shivek in the pads and some firepower on the outfield from a nearby sometime rivals - playing alongside our boys for the first time. You wouldn’t have known it though - the red blue combo worked well throughout the game!

Coach Crox picked a good mix of old and new faces and everyone got involved. Zach started from the back and was often driving the ball up the middle. Daniel B and (new) Josh linked up well for some excellent chances up front. Ruan S popped up with plenty of chances - some spectacular shots and managed to convert one. Ryan H solid at the back as ever, keeping his cool on the few occasions that OKs got in the Ashford half. Sam R and Josh (old) were their creative selves weaving through the OK oppo to create a few chances. Toby F was solid on the right, although was claiming ‘tailbone injury’ hampering his progress, despite that he broke down his sideline several times! Rohan K (almost as tall as his brother!) also solid at the back ensuring that none shall pass! Joey, Ben, Benas , Josh (new) and Fraser all made an instant impact with their contributions - Fraser adding a couple of goals on debut! Only Shivek in the Ashford goal had a quiet day!

If we’re honest the Old Kingstonians oppo were quickly overwhelmed and looked distinctly second place throughout most of the game. Their keeper was superb though, despite the scoreline. If it wasn’t for his acrobatics, the score would have been way worse!
