Ladies 1s: The weather conditions couldn't have been worse for the last game of the day - equally as bad as the previous week! Ashford were slow to get started and came under heavy attack from the outset. Beth had to make some decisive saves from the off. Suitably supported by the defense the team managed to keep the ball out of the net. Some composure and some great linking play soon saw AHC ladies get back into their grove and start attacking the opposition D. Unfortunately a well timed deflection led to an opposition goal about 10 minutes before the half time whistle. A short corner just before half time gave AHC some hope, but a stick on the line prevented the drawing score line at half time. Ready and raring to fight back Ashford were much more prepared at the start of the second half, showing some excellent attacking play. After countless chances were saved by the opposition keeper, eventually a cracking strike from Nadia saw the away team equalise. An unsettled final 10 minutes saw chances for both sides but the final score remained 1-1.
